On January 20, 2021 our loved one Laura A. daSilva departed this earth and ascended to be with her God. She was known as a happy individual whose laughter was infectious. She was also a kind and friendly person, who enjoyed communicating with friends. Laura emigrated to the United States from Brava, Cape Verde in 1988. In the U.S. she worked at several jobs and was considered by all to be a loyal employee. She loved both her native country and her adopted country.
Laura is survived by her parents Lidia A. Fernandes and Manuel G. daSilva, Stepmother, Albertina daSilva, her three children, Brandy Alexis Fernandes, Brandon Silva Dagraca, and Bradly daSilva, her grandson, Jayvian Lamer Fernandes her brothers Antonio F. Lobo and Guinelo F. Lima, both of Brava and Joâo F. daSilva in the U.S., sisters Helene daSilva and Elizabeth daSilva. She is also survived by her aunts Constancia F. Dagraca, Juvita Gomes, and Ecilda S. Miranda in the United States, and her aunts in Brava, Julia A. Fernandes and Guillhermina daSilva. In addition to this, her uncle in the U.S. Aguinaldo G. daSilva and Jose G. Silva in Portugal. She was preceded in death by her brothers Sabiliano Fernandes and Joaquim F. Silva, and sisters, Dominga F. Lima, Constancia F. Silva, and Joana F. Silva. Left to moan her passing are numerous cousins, relatives and friends, too numerous to mention. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Church services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church located at 291 High Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Services will begin and 9:45 A.M., and Mass will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Viewing will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Burial will take place immediately after the Mass at Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery at 661 Prospect Street, Pawtucket Rhode Island.

Because of COVID guidelines, only 60 are allowed in the church at the same time. It is important to know also that following the COVID rules only 15-20 people will be allowed out of the vehicles to witness the interment. Others will have to remain in their vehicles.
